Military life and responsibilities

Al-Saadi was known for his enthusiasm at work as he showed a great zeal to make a positive impact and a qualitative shift in all the domains where he worked and served. Immediately after graduating from the Military College, he was appointed to the position of Commander of the Engineering Technical Office in the Libyan Army. He then became Commander of the Field Engineering Battalion, and Commander of a special force that was not destined to be formed, and then Assistant Commander of the Security Units in 2010 .  

At the same time, he also assumed other non-military responsibilities, including the presidency of the Libyan Football Federation and the presidency of al-Ahli and al-Ittihad clubs. In 2001/2002, he became a member of the Board of Directors of the Italian Juventus football club. He was also appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Development of Western Libya and was entrusted with building a developed city there in cooperation with the Emirati Emaar company back then .  

Al-Saadi reached the rank of Major General in the Libyan Army, and received three exceptional promotions, two of which by King Abdullah II of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan where he was promoted from the rank of Captain to Colonel first, then to Brigadier General. In 2011, he was promoted to the rank of Major Genera, as part of a general promotion issued by former President Muammar Gaddafi that included all members and officers of the Libyan army at that time .
